EVENTS of mini meet west 007

So, all the events went off mostly as expected.  There were a couple of hot days that did not seem to suit the majority of people, but the overall impression was fun, fun, fun!
For those who wish to wallow in reminiscence, here are the results of the various events!  If you spot any glaring boo-boo’s please let me know and I will make it right - orminisoc@comcast.net

JAMES BONDO AWARD for the beat of the Meet...

This award is given to that car that is on the opposite end of the Bell curve from the best of show.  Jon Becker, of Martinez, Ca, for his Mini 1000.  It was not all that bad, either, but Someone had to get the trophy!

One might say that it is a heroic tribute to the owner that the car was able to attend at all - at least this sounds a lot better than an outright derisive comment, “Been dumpster diving, I see...”

HARD LUCK AWARD, for determination, grit, pluck & prowess in getting there despite all odds & great tribulation, was awarded to...

Becker family, from Martinez, Ca, who recovered from a head gasket incident, replacement of a lower radiator hose, two electrical malfunctions in which great volumes of smoke escaped, and for  combating a vast swarm of midges which assailed them in the fetid swamps of the northern California rice paddies.

MINI MEET WEST SURVEY RESULTS

IN AN ATTEMPT TO FIND OUT HOW WE DID WITH THE MEET,  A SURVEY WAS SENT OUT TO ELICIT FEEDBACK.

HERE ARE THE RESULTS AND HOW WE RATED.  NOT TOO BAD OVERALL, THE WEATHER, OF COURSE, WAS A BIT BEYOND OUR CONTROL AND THE EXPECTED WINDS FAILED TO MATERIALIZED, RESULTING IN TEMPERATURES THAT DROVE MOST ATTENDEES TO RUN MAD AND RECORD OBVIOUS SKEWED OPINIONS.  THE STONEHENGE TOUR WAS IN FACT A JOLLY GOOD TIME, REALLY, I INSIST!

SCIENTIFICAL SURVEY RESULTS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
